Persuasive Writing

I was learning to write a persuasive piece of writing. I can think of lots of reasons why Ice-Cream is better than chocolate. It was easy to persuade the reader to think that Ice-Cream is better than chocolate because Ice-Cream is very yummy!

Youthtown

I love Youthtown because they have lots of fun activities. I always learn to have fun with Youthtown. We always get to run in the sun together.

Telling Time

I was learning to understand 24 hour time and write the time in numbers and words. I can read the time on the clock and write it in digital time then in words. It was easy because i had already learnt to tell the time

Antonyms and Synonyms

I was learning to recognise a range of language features. I can identify different language features and I understand the meaning of different language features. It was tricky to find antonyms and synonyms because we were unsure of the meanings of some of the words.

Acrostic Poems

I was learning to write an acrostic poem.

I can write an acrostic poem about Halloween.

It was easy to write an acrostic poem because there is lots of things we can say about the topic; Halloween.

I was learning to divide coins into groups. I know each group must be equal. It was easy because all you need to do is drag coins from the island to the pirate boats.

The Builders Pet

e I was learning to make and justify inferences. I can identify and describe what the author wanted me to feel, think about or see in the text. It was easy because I read the story book carefully.

Contractions

Learning how to make contraction's. I can make two longer words in to one shorter word. It was easy because the new word had parts of the two words in it.

Chinese Curltural Lesson

Place Value

I was learning about place value. I can identify how many tens and ones are in two digit numbers. It was easy because the video we watched in class explained it well.

Making Inferences

I was learning to make inferences. I can identify and describe what the author wanted me to feel think about or see in the text. It was tricky because it was not always easy to find the clues in the text.

Making Connections

I was learning to make connections. I can use personal experiences to connect ideas in the text (text to self). It was easy to make connections because it reminded me of my koro.

Counting Forwards and Backwards in 10s

I was learning to skip count forwards and backwards in 10s. I can skip count forwards in 10s. It was easy to skip count forwards and backwards in 10s because i have been practising.

Road Safety

Never play on the road. Always stop! look and listen! Lets remember our road safety rules.

Vowel Sounds

It was easy to tell the differrence between the vowel sounds beacause the video explained it well. I can tell the differrence between the long and short vowel sounds. I was learning about the short and long vowel sounds.

Skip Counting

It was easy to skip count in 2s and 5s. I learnt how to skip count in 2s and 5s. I was learning to skip count in 2s and 5s.

Water Skills

Summarising

Its easy to summarise information because i have learnt how to do it before. I can summarise information in my own words. I was learning to summarise information.
